The Stop Fire and Rehire Campaign is the official campaign arm of Barry Gardiner MP’s Private Members Bill: the “Employment and Trade Union Rights (Dismissal and Re-Engagement) Bill, which he introduced in parliament on the 16 June 2021. It is supported by all of the UK’s main Trade Unions and is entirely funded by donations from the following UK organisations:

The University and College Union (UCU)

The Prison Officers Association (POA)

The Communication Workers Union (CWU)

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM)

The Bakers Food and Allied Workers Union

UNITE the Union

The Democracy Forum

The Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF)

The list will be updated as and when further donations are received.

The campaign operates under a not for profit company limited by guarantee which was established to administer the campaign. That company is called: Stop Fire and Rehire Ltd. Its Registration number is 13497410 and the directors are Lord John Hendy QC and Barry Gardiner MP.

Accounts will be published in accordance with UK Law and the company will be dissolved once the Bill has passed into legislation. All relevant declarations have been made in the Register of Member’s Interests.
